WHY YOU NEED A SKILL IN 2020 TO MAKE MORE MONEY! 

After studying for four years at the university, severed my nation (NYSC) for a year. 5 years down the line I don't have a job. In a year, I applied for more than 50 jobs none I ever got. Now covid 19 has made jobs & work unavailable but I still survive. I still have something to live for and something to do.

You want to know how?  

Maybe it's not the job. 

Maybe it's the skills you lack. 

Maybe it's the job. 

If it's the job, you can change it. 

However, in the 21st century business world, people are now making more money from skills than jobs. And due to this, jobs are now including what they call "JOB SKILLS" to their requirements. 

The more skillful you are at your job, the more likely you're to earn more money for yourself. 

What is a skill in the first place? 

In simple terms, skill is the ability to do something well, You can be skillful at anything you put your mind on even if you're not good at it in the first place. You need relevant knowledge to be skillful. Skill is very important in the life of every human being. The reason why many technicians earns more than some university graduates is because the technicians acquire more practical skills than the theories, unlike the graduates who were fed with theoretical experiences while in the universities. A skill can take you to places you do not expect you will find yourself. 

Irrespective of how much you're currently making at your job, you need a skill. You need to find something and be good at it outside going to work from 9am to 5pm. 

There are different skills out there that are paying well. 

Looked at some of the top marketable skills in the 21st century:  

Consultancy, public speaking, online marketing, coding and programming, writing, entertainment, recycling, statistical analysis and data mining, fashion, baking, furniture making, livestock, agriculture/farming, fishery, blogging, graphic designing and a whole lot of them. 

You need to learn one or more skills outside your job! 

Today, there are many unemployed graduates in the country. This is partly as a result of our long system of education that is more of grammar and not much practical learning.  It is evident that the highest number of unemployed is found in the African Continent. The truth remains that the major causes of the unemployment among our vibrant youths is lack of skill to back up what we have learnt from our various institutions of learning. When we graduates were still in school, we did not border to learn at least one single skills, maybe that which is related to graphic designing, typing, hair dressing, electrical maintenance and others. If we have learnt any skill at all, the rate of unemployment will reduce drastically among us.

WHAT CAN A SKILL DO TO YOU

Here are 10 things a skill can do to you

1) Make you more productive

2) Increase your income by 20% and even more. 

3) Serve as a side hustle, and a safe landing after retirement. 

4) Empower you to access business grants, own your own business, and expand it! 

5) Connect you to people and help you build relationships and gain opportunities you will never had access to while on job. 

6) Helps you to become financially free and stable. 

7) Make you become an expert at a thing and attract others to what you do and also provides you an opportunity to train them and make more money. 

8) Helps you develop your self on what you're most passionate about. Studies shows that over 80% of people hate their jobs. They just do it for the pay. 

9) Challenges you to be mentally engaged and draw to yourself different sources of income. The average millionaire has 7 sources of income and all those are drawn from skills outside his job. 

10) Makes you influential and sort after. 

The year is half way gone, you can make a decision to learn one or two skills and be very good at it. This skill can be a life safer. 

Imagine the tons of graduate our universities are churning out with no jobs to absorb them, or imagine the number of people going to jobs that frustrate them, or is it the number of retiree that keep going to the pension board for their pensions and have nothing to fall back to?

EVERYTHING ON EARTH HAPPENS BECAUSE OF MEN....

 

The story was told of  a poor  man who wrote a book at the age of 40 and decided to launch it on his Birthday.

He had no money to fund the launch and so he decided to seek help from a Millionaire in his community. He made a visit to the Millionaire's home and after they exchanged pleasantries, he told his host what brought him. The Millionaire told him to take out a piece of paper and pen. 

He said, " I will give you a test. If you pass it, I will give you the money you need and if you fail, I will still give you the money" He then told him to write down the names of 10 people who could give him 10,000 each for his book during the launch. Surprisingly, the man could not write even 3 names.

Now, take a glass of water and let me show you something..

It is not enough to have talent and skills. You must understand the power of building valuable relationship.

Relationship is a currency. Relationship is a stream of income. Everything in this life actually reproduces on the basis of relationship.

See eh, Who likes you in this life matters.

Men are lifted through men. Many of us are talented but we lack a cup bearer to tell the King that there is a Joseph that can interpret dreams. Who you know matters a lot in this life. Don't say it doesn't matter. It does. There are heights and opportunities you will never attain if you don't understand the power of Keeping Valuable Relationships .

When they say, turn and greet your neighbor, Oga, you don't even know who you are talking too oh..

That might be the CEO of a company. And sometimes, we just despise people based on the standards we use to judge them. Have this wisdom am sharing with you. That person you sit with in class and just look down on, you don't know who they know oh Sometimes, it takes just a recommendation to change your story.

There's nothing that has been replaced with men. The reason why demons have something to do is because of men. Men in themselves are not perfect but its still not a reason to leave them. The attitude of men good/bad does not stop you from receiving what they carry.

What money can buy relationship will pay for it 

There are certain things that God has put in men that carries weight weather born again or not. Your destiny is highly men dependent. Your success is highly men dependent. Evil on earth is men dependent.

By implication men come into our lives:

• Coming of wisdom, ideas & strategies. (ignore the personality) but look out for what he/she carries that will be beneficial to your life. 
• Endorsements & Opportunities. Who can speak or vouch for you when it is time to do so? You need that one voice that can catapult you with just a three letter word YES.
• Access to financial & material resources. Money and cloths doesn't fall like manner from heaven, someone is in possession of it. Who do you know to help you get it?

 Don't despise men in Life. You will need them one day. Sometimes those who crown Kings don't look like kings and may never become kings but they can help you wear the crown.

THE BIRTHDAY MESSAGE.

On this wonderful day two and half decades ago I was conceived, created for a purpose and designed to achieve, my dreams and what I represent. I believe that your beliefs  become your thoughts. Your thoughts become your words. Your words become your actions. Your actions becomes your habits. Your habits become your values. Your values become your destiny.

So, I am really delighted to write down the major things that will determined where I (you) are to where I (you) want to be.  

Three (3) major things to Note:

• Take 100 percent responsibility
• Decide what you want
• Believe it's possible.
  
  

Take 100% Responsibility for Your Life. Acknowledge that you create everything that happens to you. If you want to be really successful, and know you do, then you will have to give up blaming and complaining and take total responsibility for your life, you have to give up all your excuses. 

Be clear why you are here. Know that everything in life has a purpose. Learn to get to talk with yourself and know that everything in life has a purpose. Successful people take their time to understand what they are here to do and then they pursue that with passion and enthusiasm. Without a purpose in life, it's very easy to get side-tracked on your life's journey and with purpose, everything in life seems to fall in place. To be on purpose means, you're doing what you love to do, doing what you're good at and accomplishing what's important to you. Once you are clear about what brings you the greatest joy, you will have a major insight into your purpose.

Decide what you want. You must have to decide what you want out of life, once you have decided why you are here, you have to decide what you want to do, be and have.

One of the main reasons why most people don't get what they want, is because they haven't decided what they really want. They haven't defined their desires in their clear and compelling detail. Stop settling for less than what you want, and don't live someone else's dream. 

Believe it's possible. Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. You can be anything you want to be, if only you believe with sufficient conviction and action in accordance with your faith.

Whatever your dream is, look at yourself in a mirror and declare that you are indeed going to achieve it, no matter what the price.

THE GOAL OF MOTIVATION

Have you being motivated before? What happened thereafter? Let me share my experience with you and then you can share yours in the comment section.

Few years ago I was totally broke and had no place where I could go for help (so my mind educated me). I came across an article which advised the importance of watching motivational videos on YouTube and listening to motivations on podcasts.

3 Months down the line, frustration became my roommate. If that was enough then maybe a quick remedy would have been fine but a year later, depression made its habitation in my bedroom.

Everyday I spent my time watching motivational videos but never getting tangible results. What is going on? I kept asking myself until this word hit me so hard;

"You Don't Know The Goal Of Motivation"

Most people think motivation is what bring the results, they don't know that the goal of motivation is different from their expectations. You may be expecting to be a millionaire in 3 Months time, if you don't understand the goal of motivation then you will fall into depression.

The goal of motivation is to deposit energy in your inside so you can chase after what's set before you. For instance, I want to make 500k from book project consulting services and I watch a motivational video saying yes it is possible.

What that video just did for me is to give me the energy I need in chasing after my desires. If I only get energy and don't do anything then the goal of motivation has been defeated.

This is why most individuals attend an online training, course or coaching program but never get results because they only embraced the energy without channeling it to a worthy course.

Today is the 8th day in June, don't waste motivation rather use it properly. Have something worthy to pursue and achieve this Month.

Remember, the goal of motivation is to energize you for chasing after the fulfilment of your desires.

UNDERSTANDING WHO A STRANGER IS

A stranger is a person who is unknown to another person or group. And because of this unknown status, a stranger may be perceived as a threat until their identity and character can be ascertained.

 Our parents warned us against talking to strangers because of history, culture, religion, etc. Probably, you were beaten many times for relating or even talking to a stranger. It came to a point that we grew up with fear of strangers. Fear of strangers is a learned fear and can be unlearned.
  You need to talk to strangers. To avoid strangers is to end up a failure in life. Strangers are the key to your next level in life. Strangers are the ladder that will take you to your next level. Therefore, if you avoid strangers you are going to be limited in your journey to destiny.

 "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares."

Strangers are angels of destiny. They are the ones that will assist you in the journey.Strangers are gifts from God to your life to help you fulfill destiny with ease. In your journey to destiny, you will meet so many strangers. The reason is that without strangers life and destiny will be stagnated, stranded and frustrated. Strangers come to transport you from your present level to the next level of life that is more glorious. They are the bridge to your new glorious level in life.
  The house you are living was built by strangers. The food you ate today, the food stuffs were sold to you by strangers. The clothes you are wearing were sold to you by strangers. As a business man or woman, most of the people who buy from your shop are strangers. Young lady/man, you are not going to marry your family members but a stranger.
  It is impossible to live life effectively and fulfill destiny to the fullest without strangers. Friends, your money is the hands of strangers. Strangers are opportunities for possibilities. They are connections to high places in life.
  Great men and women know how to penetrate strangers and network with them to achieve their goals and fulfill destiny. Observe the rich and the poor in the market; the poor buys based on REDUCTION IN PRICE but the rich buys based on RELATIONSHIP WITH PEOPLE. He has contact of sellers and there is relationship.
Seeing how important strangers are, it is necessary to learn how to penetrate and connect with strangers. There are certain laws facilitate our access to strangers.
 

 NO.1:THE LAW OF COMPLIMENT  Compliment is more powerful than greetings. It feeds the ego of the stranger. A sincere compliment is one of the most effective method of penetrating and connecting with a stranger. Compliment breaks the defenses of the stranger. If you want to really connect with people, use compliment more than greetings.
  For examples,
  1) The fragrance of your perfume is fantastic.
2) Your hairstyle is beautiful!
3) Wow! Your suit is fine.
4) Wow! You look smart! You sound intelligent!
5) Your compound is fantastic.
6) Your Children are wonderful. etc.
You have greeted so many times today but have you said any sincere compliment to anyone?
  People who are so generous with their compliments do not lack friends. People tend to gravitate towards them. Critical people are relationship risk.
  Married couples, stop killing your marriage with critical comments.
There is always something to compliment about if you look well.
  Put a smile on your face and make compliment frequently.
 

 NO.2: THE LAW OF CELEBRATION  Celebration of the stranger's old victories gives him a sense of accomplishment. So, make a little effort to investigate his past victories and celebrated accordingly.
  For example:
 Sir, we are yet to recover from the positive impact of that short speech you made that day.
People gravitate towards where they are celebrated, not where they are tolerated.
Celebrate people and stop tolerated people.
 

BRIEF HISTORY ABOUT THE MAN NAMED BOB MARLEY

Robert Nesta Marley, OM (6 February 1945 – 11 May 1981) was a Jamaican singer, songwriter and musician. Considered one of the pioneers of reggae, his musical career was marked by fusing elements of reggae, ska, and rocksteady, as well as his distinctive vocal and songwriting style. Marley's contributions to music increased the visibility of Jamaican music worldwide, and made him a global figure in popular culture for over a decade.

Over the course of his career Marley became known as a Rastafari icon, and he infused his music with a sense of spirituality. He is also considered a global symbol of Jamaican music and culture and identity, and was controversial in his outspoken support for the legalization of marijuana, while he also advocated for Pan-Africanism.

Born in Nine Mile, British Jamaica, Marley began his professional musical career in 1963, after forming Bob Marley and the Wailers. The group released its debut studio album The Wailing Wailers in 1965, which contained the single "One Love/People Get Ready"; the song was popular worldwide, and established the group as a rising figure in reggae.

Bob Marley married Alpharita Constantia "Rita" Anderson in Kingston, Jamaica, on 10 February 1966. Marley had many children: four with his wife Rita, two adopted from Rita's previous relationships, and several others with different women. Some of the children are;

ILLNESS AND DEATH

In July 1977, Marley was found to have a type of malignant melanoma under the nail of a toe. Contrary to urban legend, this lesion was not primarily caused by an injury during a football match that year but was instead a symptom of already-existing cancer. Marley turned down his doctors' advice to have his toe amputated (which would have hindered his performing career), citing his religious beliefs, and instead, the nail and nail bed were removed and a skin graft was taken from his thigh to cover the area. Despite his illness, he continued touring and was in the process of scheduling a world tour in 1980. Marley's last concert occurred at the Stanley Theater (now called The Benedum Center For The Performing Arts) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on 23 September 1980. Just two days earlier he had collapsed during a jogging tour in Central Park and was brought to the hospital where he learned that his cancer had spread to his brain.

Shortly afterward, Marley's health deteriorated as his cancer had spread throughout his body. The rest of the tour was canceled and Marley sought treatment at the Bavarian clinic of Josef Issels, where he received an alternative cancer treatment called Issels treatment partly based on avoidance of certain foods, drinks, and other substances. After eight months of effectively failing to treat his advancing cancer Marley boarded a plane for his home in Jamaica.

While Marley was flying home from Germany to Jamaica, his vital functions worsened. After landing in Miami, Florida, he was taken to the hospital for immediate medical attention. Marley died on 11 May 1981 at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Miami (now University of Miami Hospital), aged 36. The spread of melanoma to his lungs and brain caused his death. His final words to his son Ziggy were "Money can't buy life."

Marley received a state funeral in Jamaica on 21 May 1981, which combined elements of Ethiopian Orthodoxy and Rastafari tradition. He was buried in a chapel near his birthplace with his guitar.

Solomon was a master in achievements. He is one of the most famous names in history. 

He was the richest man who ever lived. In 1929, the Illinois society of architects did an extensive and meticulous study of the temple build by Solomon. Certainly. The name Henry Ford reminds you of automobiles. The Wright brothers? Airplanes, when Solomon's name is spoken, people think of wisdom. Why? wisdom was the obsession and goal of his life. 

Solomon cultivated self-confidence that He could achieve His dream. Self confidence creates a climate. Those around Him could sense the invisible currents of purpose within Him. Your thoughts have presence, and the atmosphere you permit determines the product you produce. Solomon possessed the weapon of humility and the name Solomon, even means "Peace"

"The seed of greatness grow best in the soil of peace" 

Solomon acknowledge His personal limitations. Nobody knows everything. Solomon recognized that He needed a power greater than His own, so He went to his creator to seek for wisdom. Acknowledge that there is a power greater than your own and that you need your creator. The first step to truth is to acknowledge any wrong you are aware of in your life, the second step is to acknowledge your need for truth and the third step is ask for and pursue truth continuously.

You can succeed significantly with your life. You can have incredible friendships. You can produce finances beyond your wildest imaginations, but you will never do it alone.
